The vehicle was adapted with full remote control so the client presses a button and the power rear doors open and the wheelchair access lift deploys, press another button on the hand held remote and the access lift lowers. The client now goes onto the lift, presses another button to raise him in his wheelchair to floor height and enters the vehicle. Once in the drivers position the electronic wheelchair tie down system secures our client, he then presses another button and the lift stows and power doors shut and he is ready to drive. The drivers adaptations for this client were a smaller raised steering wheel with lighten power steering and steering wheel knob, hand controls to include single lever push to brake pull to accelerate control, an easy to reach control box housing controls for the electronic hand brake lights, electric front windows, windscreen wipers, heated rear windows, rear fog light, ignition on, push button start and wheelchair tie down release.

The adaptations included full remote wheelchair access to the vehicle via power rear doors and a Ricon access lift, once inside the vehicle the client transfers from the wheelchair to a Ricon six way seat which is electric control for forward, rearward, rotating and height up and down, this seat travels rearward then turns 90 degrees or any position within 90 degrees thus making transferring possible for our client inside the vehicle. Once in position our client can then power the seat back to the drivers position ready to drive.
